Transportation infrastructure in Kihei; We cannot seem to keep So Kihei Rd {SKR} open and can’t get Pi’ikea Rd opened.

  8-18-25 #kihei So we start the work week with Pi'ikea Rd still totally closed, and while SKR is open, construction limits a stretch to single lane alternate flow and as this continuous daily action for an indefinite period. Tomorrow the North end will be totally closed all day.   Meanwhile SKR continues with the daily (M-F} alternate single lane traffic flow in the area of Kulanihako'i Road                 mmmmmm...

South Kihei Road (SKR) in No. Kihei reopened (for now)

  8/11/25 #kihei       On Monday morning a County crew continued performing the various needed tasks to mitigate the damage caused by kai flooding along SKR last week. No word from the County when this portion of SKR will reopen. Some wonder about the day when it will not reopen.
