9/20/19 #kihei
Last month we gave you the “heads up”’ on this meeting.
Now on September 21 at 6:00 PM at the Kihei Community Center, the DPW will present a public meeting on the pre-final Kihei Drainage Master Plan.
We also offered you this background on the issue:
Just a few months back we were fortunate to have County Department of Public Works (DPW) Director David Goode unveil a draft Kihei stormwater drainage plan to us – SEE

KCA has major concerns about some aspects of the plan, e.g concreting the Kulanihakoi river gulch. We encourage you to attend, listen to the presentation and state YOUR opinion.
The Department of Public Works invites the South Maui community to a public meeting on the Kihei Drainage Master Plan. The meeting will be held this Thursday (Sept. 21) at 6 p.m. at the Kihei Community Center.
Those interested can download the pre-final report of the Kihei Drainage Master Plan from the County of Maui website via this link: http://co.maui.hi.us/124/Public-Works.

I live on this Gulch and I am vehemently opposed to this plan which essentially equates to using a hammer for brain surgery. We can do MUCH better.
