Volunteer representatives gather for a variety of coordinated actions

11/7/16. This afternoon, 8 guys gathered at @PacificWhaleFoundation (PWF) classroom in Maalaea to move forward with the restoration project for Paniaka Pond at the State Park. The meeting was moderated by Greg Kaufman of @Pacificwhale. @KiheiCommunity Association (KCA)’s obligation involves communication, including conducting a community meeting in Kihei and using our variety of social media to alert the community of the project, the need for funding and volunteer opportunities. We will announce plans at the 11/15/16 meeting and possibly devote the 1/17/17 general membership meeting to this project

This coalition advised tentative plans to kick off the process with a Hawaiian Blessing next month, possibly 12/14 or 12/15 coordinating it as also a Coalition meeting, as well as offering a press releases. to inform the community some general background on the formation of the Coalition, as well how this specific project has become the focus of the group.

      • The overall  plan is outlined in a memorandum of understanding (MOU) , dividing the project into four phases for agreement among the nine existing participating groups
