10/22/16 Yesterday just after 9:00 AM Friday, a meeting commenced as Wendy Stebbins , from the County’s Housing and Human Concerns Department’s volunteer center, kicked things off for nearly forty attendees representing a wide variety of organizations and agencies for a three hour presentation described as a workshop for volunteer leaders. KCA had two directors present to see what we could learn to strengthen our Association.
The meeting was set up as a lengthy power point presentation offered by Mary Lynn Perry from the city of Sacramento, CA volunteer program. Mary Lynn Perry has served as an Education Specialist with the Smithsonian Institution, the Executive Director of Sacramento’s Business Volunteers, and a member of the Leadership Faculty for the Corporate Institute with the Points of Light Foundation. In addition, for the past 13 years, Perry has worked as the Volunteer Coordinator for the City of Sacramento.
