Whatever the “strike’s” cause, Akaku is not to blame!
Put the finger on the horribly inefficient County Administration as well as on our new Councilman who allegedly said he doesn’t care if South Maui lacks a required representative on the Planning Commission.
From where did you get the concept that Akaku was at fault?? Please reread our missive. Akaku is never mentioned, but the Administration’s Planning Dept is numerous times. KCA has had a very strong partnership & relationship since they began over 4 decades ago. For CPAC, same with the all volunteer committee, where our chair worked with them to continue on line connections of our meetings.
As far as the situation at the Planning Commission. it was only KCA who addressed the Charter violation in our testimony at the legislative meeting, bringing out the Councilmember’s unsatisfactory comment. Further KCA addressed the Mayor & the Corp. Counsel to no avail
