The October 20th meeting will focus on County plans for the future of Maui.

As seen in The Maui Weekly:

“While hundred of hours were expended by the General Plan Advisory Committee’s 25 volunteer members, and countless testifiers on varied topics, that portion of an Island Plan is pau.” said KCA VP Mike Moran. “Join with us on Tuesday evening to query Long range Planer Dave Michaelson and two of these valiant GPAC volunteers, Jeanne Skog and Stacie Thorlakson on any topic relating to the plan at the Kihei Community Association’s public monthly meeting.” Be informed before the County Council makes final decisions later this year for the future plans for our island, as this will have long lasting effect on all residents and future visitors.

Bring your questions and comments, and view island maps, at the Community Center on Lipoa Rd, next to the swimming pools. Doors open at 6:00 PM, for talk story and pupu with neighbors before meeting kicks off at 6:30 PM sharp. Make Kihei a better place to live & visit by participating with you community every month. In this difficult economic time, please remember some non-perishable food for the Maui Food Bank. For more information, call 879-5390. Mahalo
