Making So Kihei Road (SKR) safe for pedestrians walking  across No Kihei has been an ongoing effort by KCA for some time.

We all heard the two final Mayoral candidates at our candidate forum pledge to build one mile of sidewalk  But the winner did not build a inch in four year

 

Further delays for North Kihei sidewalks; going into fifth year since offered

 

So parents push a stroller in the roadway as a sidewalk segment ends

 

Why won’t County build sidewalks in North Kihei?

 

FINALLY THAT SITUATION MAY BE CHANGING !! County DPW Director Jordan Molina advised KCA directors his department will construct new sidewalk  mauka , which will extend the small segment just  North of Kaonoulu , at the timeshare, Northbound as far as Uwapo
