8/20/17 #kihei
While there are always “hot topics” on Maui and in our portion of the island, certainly two on most everyone’s list are
homelessness and stormwater flooding. We attempt to address these issues, along with so many others, to the best of our means.

We had a general membership community meeting just over a year ago on “Homelessness in South Maui” – SEE https://gokihei.org/meeting-recap/meeting-recap-on-homelessness-in-south-maui.

Just a few months back we were fortunate to have County Department of Public Works (DPW) Director David Goode unveil a draft Kihei stormwater drainage plan to us – SEE

So that is history; what about September?

Maui District Council Woman Kelly King offered a preliminary announcement of a meeting on homelessness set for Saturday morning, September 16 up at the R & T Park.

Shortly after that on September 21 at 6:00 PM at the Kihei Community Center, the DPW will present a public meeting on the pre-final Kihei Drainage Master Plan.

These are NOT KCA meetings, but we strongly encourage participation. Of course both are complex and complicated issues, so there is much to address and consider.

Right in between these two is our KCA general Membership meeting on September 19 at 6:30 PM at the usual location, and we’ll continue with updates as they become available.

So for now: September 16, 19 and 21 – HOLD THOSE DATES
