Commencing at 6:00 pm on Tuesday evening, South Maui Council Member Kelly King addressed about 50 attendees to introduce two presenters of affordable housing rental projects to be located in Kihei.

The first one is located in the R & T Park off Lipoa Pkwy above the Maui Nui Golf Club, while the second is at corner of Pi’ikea and Liloa, diagonally across from Safeway plaza.

When the presentations concluded, each project representative answered questions from the public then were joined by a comprehensive panel including County Planning Director Michele McLean; Deputy Director of Housing and Human Concerns, Linda Munsell; long time Maui developer Ray Phillips; affordable housing advocate, Stan Franco; Chair of County Council’s affordable housing committee, Gabe Johnson; and real estate broker and builder Lawrence Carincelli.
