The second Land Use Commission (LUC) hearing concerning the proposed huge retail commercial project for North Kihei, usually called the “Mega Malls,” but identified by LUC as Ka’ono’ulu Ranch, is scheduled for Nov 1 and 2, beginning at 9:30 AM in Kahului at the Courtyard Maui Kahului Airport, Haleakala Room 532 Keolani Pl Kahului.

To Consider County of Maui Planning Department’s Motion to Exclude Further Public Testimony;
To consider Intervenor’s Pre-Hearing Motion on Burden of Proof, Etc; Requests for Hearing;
To consider Intervenor’s Pre-hearing Motion in Limine Regarding Scope of Evidence
To consider Intervenor’s Motion to Take Testimony of Carla M Flood Via Telephone
To consider Order to Show Cause.
The meeting is open to the public. If you intended to offer testimony, in spite of the attempt by the County Administration to prohibit your participation, you might consider what LUC Chief Clerk Riley Hokoda said, “I cannot think of a time when the chair has shut out testifiers.” We always encourage public participation.
