Within the last 10 days almost all of Maui’s animal organizations have had two opportunities to meet and collaborate to explore successful ways to benefit our domestic animals. A closed meeting on 1/25/12 began what will be a series of  such monthly conclaves, ultimatly realizing the long awaited opportunity to achieve large grants from Maddie’s Fund, http://www.maddiesfund.org/, to financialy assist many with much needed funding.

The second meeting, which was open to the public and included about 100 participants, was the second annual SPCA Maui gathering at the Maui Beach Hotel on Friday evening, 2/3/12, to not only offer  a presentation on their achievements and goals, but offered the opportiunity for all the other animal non profits to likewise participate and socialize.
