If the supporters receive the delayed Christmas present they desire, this road and parking lot will be free of motor vehicles and full of people on that Friday evening between Christmas and New Year’s. It is reported that Pi’ikea Avenue, makai of the roundabout at Liloa, will be closed to motor vehicles from 5:00 to 10:00 PM on December 28 for this first of monthly scheduled festive events  at Azeka Mauka Plaza, which will run from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. The sponsors  named on the banner (see picture) are Maui County Government, The Azeka Plaza and two radio stations, but countless South Maui based business, including many not in either side of Azeka, will be participating.
