UPDATE 4/1/13   Our last report from almost 16 months ago(following) addressed what happen when stop sign was flattened several times. Here is the newest installment.

12/5/2011–Right by the entrance to the new Kihei Community Park, where Liloa ends at intersection of Halekuai, vehicles driving south on Liloa had a full stop, before they could proceed into the park entrance after crossing over Halekuai. Problem was the post holding the stop sign was apparently run down countless times, leaving  just roadway painting saying STOP and a white line.

So how do you fix this? As of now, you no longer require a stop on Liloa at the intersection You cover up the roadway signage, & don’t erect a new Stop Sign. What happend to the sign & it’s support post? We don’t know, but this caution sign offers a clue.
