Does the Kihei community want a safe, healthy community, with a  walkable bikable environment, and chance for a nutrious diet?  If so, how do we achieve one?  Join us at the February 21 community meeting at the Kihei Charter Middle School, 41 East Lipoa,  at 6:30 PM, to welcome representatives from Nutritional & Physical Activity Coalition (NPAC) Mike Morris and Sandy McGuinness to address this and other related matters. NPAC’s strong support of the North Shore Greeway has paid dividends on that side of the island, so we’ll see if they can have the same effect in South Maui. Learn what can be done to improve the health of our entire community via improved nutrition and beneficial activity for young and not so young, while  achieving additional benefits by fewer and better uses of personal motor vehicles.

Can KCA match (or exceed) our record breaking Food Bank donation last month?  We can if everyone participates, so please remember some non perishable items when you attend, as doors open at 6:00 PM for talk story and pupu. For more information, call 879-5390. Watch for our “garden party” next month.
