Approximately 100 people were on hand at the community center for the monthly KCA meeting, and after consuming pupu provided by South Maui Sustainability (SMS) group, and meeting and greeting each other, President Jon Miller kicked off the meeting with a brief presentation by UH at MCC explaining 2 and 4 year degree programs attainable right on Maui.

Then the SMS leaders gave a power point presentation highlighting specific categories and divisions of their effort to help preserve Maui’s unique environment before asking the audience to break up into discussion groups on these topics for discussion. In summation, a moderator of each group gave a synopsis on their area of interest.

KCA president, Jon Miller closed the meeting announcing that the new chief of Police, Gary Yabuta will be the featured speaker at the July 21 community meeting.
