WHY does this post headline about the Jan 2025 meeting? Inquiring minds read on

When KCA was incorporated in 1960, the founders included in the bylaws a requirement that there would be membership meeting on the third Tuesday of the odd months. There can be additional such meetings so long as proper notice is given to the membership. Over the decades, at some points there were monthly meetings. In the past decade the practice alternated between the required 6 meetings one year, then in election years 2 or 3 were added as candidate forums.

As 2026 is an election year, some added meetings for this purpose will be held before the primary election in August and the November general election.

But to start, on January 20, we are going to look at water use and supply in our district, with our guest County Water Director Stufflebean. If this sounds like deja vu the gracious director has agreed to do so for Jan, 2025, but the State Senate overruled us and summoned him to the Capitol. . In 2026 we have him the evening before the session commences. (Now you know why)

We are pleased to continue to hold our meetings at the Pro Arts Playhouse at Azeka makai commencing at 630 PM.

Of course we also continue our perpetual Maui Food Bank Drive at each meeting

The need is greater than ever for non perishable nutritious food products on Maui
