OK, we do not know if they are in South Maui, but they are on the island, & their locations are not certain, so they could be. As the Kihei Community Association (KCA) welcomes Maui Invasive Species Committee (MISC) at our 3/18/14 meeting, they will discuss three species that fit that threaten our area of Maui. Abe Vandenberg will offer a power point presentation concerning Coqui frogs, banana bunchy top virus and the new terror, Little Fire Ants (LFA) to the general membership and guests.

Doors open at 6:00 PM, with meeting starting at 6:30 PM at the Kihei Charter Middle school at 41 East Lipoa, behind the Kihei Car Wash in rear of Plaza, at site of old Hapa’s nightclub. KCA’s Maui Food Bank drive continues our 2014 endeavor. Why not make it a monthly habit to bring a few cans of nutritious food? Remind your friends to do the same.

The Association is an all volunteer non profit with no government funding. Consider becoming a supporting member. More information, call ( 508) 499-9996
