We have a new opportunity for locals and visitors to learn about our town’s history and famous places! Maui Walking Tours LLC is offering free historical walking tours. The company will host free walking tours across numerous towns on Maui that inform locals and tourists about the fun and interesting past of that region, starting with Kīhei.
Founder Keith DeVey reports countless research has been conducted and in-person interviews held with George Rixey (community architect and former president of the KCA), Lucienne De Naie (published Maui author and historian), Vernon Kalanikau (Maui County cultural advisor and lead organizer of the Ahupua’a sign project), Elan Vital (artist that sculpted the Kalama Park whale), and many more.
Keith advises to please feel free to sign up for one of the upcoming tours here: www.mauiwalkingtours.com.
