From the UH CTAHR extension faculty:
The UH CTAHR extension faculty is offering FREE Preparing Our Neighbors and Ohana (PONO) Emergency Preparedness Workshops for Maui county residents and the first one is this Saturday, March 16th in Kihei from 8-1pm at Kihei Charter School. Please get the word out to your friends and family as we still have spots available and we’d like to share as many resources with the community as possible.

Participants of the workshop will practice first aid and putting out fires, learn about firewise landscaping, start an emergency kit, and focus on ways to cope with the stress related to disasters. Everyone will receive free plants, emergency and first aid kits, and other supplies and resources. Workshops are open to adults, families (up to four people per family), or youth over 13 years old.
