About 50 So Maui residents assembled at St Teresa Church Hall on Tuesday evening  to hear “how we can make South Maui a safer place.”  Organized by Kihei’s Council Chair Kelly King, it included four entities: County Fire, Police and Emergency Management, as well as our electric utility, MECO.  Each one offered an oral presentation and were available to answer attendees’ questions in break-out groups.

Herman Andaya (Emergency Management) will be back for the KCA meeting on September 17 to address emergency preparedness, along with HHARP and State Rep Tina Wildberger.  See a detailed professional report in the 8/29/19 Maui News.
