Status of huge commercial development in N. Kihei

While our membership and the rest of the public awaits the continuing Land Use Commission’s hearings in January on the Eclipse Development’s two shopping mall projects, often called the Mega Malls, mauka of the P’i’ilani Highway in N. Kihei, an observant resident spotted & photographed the stacks of very large piping gathered up on the Ka’ono’ulu Project land far back from the highway. Closing arguments and deliberation from Land Use Commission are scheduled for Jan. 24th

  1. yes i hope they can finally start building these malls.

  2. This is way too much for us right now. Biggest mall in the State.”We will love it.”I don’t think so !
Yes we could use the jobs but why not figure out how to address the major traffic issues first and the other areas of concern before considering something like this.Maybe it could fit better if just one mall was built and we could see if the second one would fit in without disrupting our lives and creating a hugh mess for everyone ,visitors and residents, driving to Kihei, Wailea And Makena.
