All candidates on the primary ballot for all contested state and county races have agreed to participate in this live televised question and answer forum co sponsored by Akaku Community TV, Maui News, Kula Community Association (KCA mauka) and your Kihei Community Association (KCA makai) to be shown beginning at 6:00 PM on Channels 52, 53, and 54, and live streamed on www.akaku.org this Tuesday. KCA makai President Jon Miller will be the most prevalent questioner for the evening. While we encourage our members and community to view all of the races, as those elected to the state legislature from any district affect South Maui’s interests, the final four races on the program have the most direct South Maui effect in state and county legislative bodies. This is an excellent way to educate ourselves about these candidates for the August 11 primary election.
