Yes the party is over, but not the memories and now KCA is back to work with our November 17 community meeting at 6:30 PM at the Kihei Charter School, 41 E Lipoa, We have two honored guests new to KCA, at least in this century, but certainly not new to Maui. First we have Council Chairman Mike White, serving his third (two year) elected term on Council, but completing his first year as the Chair. While he lives in the Makawao- Paia district and thus “represents” that area of the County, since there is no district voting in our County, he really represents all County residents, as do all the Council-members.
His fellow presenter is Maui Tomorrow “new” (how long do we preface him with the recentness?) . Executive Director Albert Perez., who assumed this position in the organization that he was instrumental in creating decades ago. He is seeming “a jack of all trades,” and master of many with a varied background.
Also, a list of nominated 2016 Board members will be introduced to the membership for a vote to initiate the meeting.
As always this last meeting of the year does not require membership to attend, but it is encouraged. While the nomination process for the 2016 Board has closed, per KCA bylaws, we are always looking for committee members
KCA is strongly advocating for generous non perishable donations or checks for the Maui Food Bank More info, call (508) 499-9996 or see www.gokihei.org
