This is a video of Kulanihakoi Gulch – which is normally dry – swelling to a river on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. This is the real source of most of the flooding we suffered at that time in Kihei: uncontrolled flow of water from upcountry, not the light rain in Kihei itself that day. Solving the problem will require upstream containment.
