On Tuesday (3/17/15) evening at 6:30 PM we welcome three experienced voices to discuss the condition of So. Maui’s near shore waters and the coral reef system. KCA welcomes John “Fitz” Fitzpatrick from UHMC, Darla White for the State Division of Aquatic Resources and renowned environmental scientist and water quality expert, Robin Knox. Free “Respecting Coral Reef” posters offered to early arrivals.
It seems everyone agrees how vital our near shore waters and the reef system are to Maui on so many levels, and yet water quality deteriorates and the coral is being decimated. Come find out why, and what can be done to rectify the situation.
Non perishable donations for the Maui Food Bank are strongly requested. Meetings are open to the public, but membership is encouraged. Doors open at 6:00 PM for pupu and socialization; meeting begins “on time” at 6:30 PM. Location is the Kihei Charter Middle School, 41 E. Lipoa (Previous site of Hapa’s nightclub.) Any questions please call (508) 499-9996. Mahalo.
