The Hawaii Access to Justice Commission meeting at the Maui Waena School in Kahului drew a modest audience for the important topic of equal justice for all, in spite of an impressive gathering of very knowledgeable participants, including two Oahu state legislators. First up was Senator Clayton Hee, addressing justice for the poor, who accompanied Rep. Della Au Belatti, organizer of this first meeting on a neighbor island, after holding three on Oahu. Maui’s own Rep Gil Keith-Agaran, Circuit Judge Joseph Cardoza, Maui attorney B. Martin Luna and County Counsel James Giroux rounded up the group.
