As an assortment of commercial & personal vehicles add bustle, noise and fumes on a Tuesday morning along central Kihei’s main drag, a casual pause is offered by sporatic avian visitors to the Laie Wetlands. Seemingly undeterred by mankinds antics nearby, ducks and geese, accompanied by a flock of local doves, spent quiet time, go about their business ignoring an intruder recording their natural musings.

These wetlands stand out as a lonly reminder of what used to be Kihei. See http://www.hear.org/naturalareas/laie/
