Has anyone considered a grade separated intersection? That would create safer pedestrian facilities and dramatically increase the level of service. Traffic on the Pi’ilani Hwy wouldn’t need to stop. The grade separated intersection could also be used to service the High School. With the development planned in the Maui 2030 Plan, you’ll need to get away from signalized intersections and go to grade separated intersections with or without the mall.
