With about 80 people filling the Charter School room last evening, we saw

  • the membership vote to expand the number of directors from current eleven to sixteen, the largest number in a decade
  • a presentation of the draft Southwest Maui Watershed Plan, by 2017 Watershed Coordinator Michael Reyes
  • the awarding of the KCA Wiliwili Warrior Award for 2017, to Lucienne de Naie
  • Presentations by South Maui Councilor Kelly King on issues she is working on that affect South Maui as well as the rest of the county, and by Lucienne de Naie on how we all can help change policies for the benefit of Maui’s communities

The next meeting is on JAN. 16, so Happy Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year!
