April 30 at 6:00 PM in Council Chambers in Wailuku (8th floor), public testimony (3 minutes limit) will be accepted on the Real Property Tax Rates for FY 2015 (begins 7/1/14).
The Council’s Budget and Finance Committee hearing on 4/14/14 at our Community Center bough forth several testifiers who objected to increases taxes in the FY 2015 Mayor’s budget, now being evaluated and potentially modified. by the Council.
Most everyone is expected to have a higher tax bill on any real estate, since assessments seem to be going up across the board. However if rate of tax also increases, the increase will be more severe.
Whatever your opinion, here is an evening opportunity to address the full council in Wailuku on this proposal.
