10/20/24 #kihei

This Wednesday (10/23/2024) at 7:00 PM at the Pro Arts Playhouse in Azeka (makai) , Maui Meadows  Neighborhood Association and Maui Tomorrow Foundation join with KCA to offer an informational meeting about the proposed development projects that threaten to overwhelm South Maui’s already limited infrastructure while providing mostly luxury vacation homes to non-resident millionaires. If you cannot make it to the Playhouse, it will also be shown on Zoom.

MegaMall is back again trying for commercial development. If developed, KCA feels it must be housing that is suited for our County residents to rent or own.

Much of the focus will be on Wailea 670 (Honua‘ula project) or HP just South of Maui Meadows, as the current spokesman is requesting numerous plan modifications from the County. Among them: reducing the number of affordable units from 450 to 280, delaying the widening of Pi‘ilani Highway just north of Wailea Ike, shifting of responsibility for improving the road to the DOT and postponing the traffic light in favor of another study.

And there are several other proposed projects in our district, mostly very high end housing. C’mon down to hear the information or stay home and participate via zoom  https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84508181836?pwd=Y9eCTy1Lz0OMiu0Knwqzd9RtjDu58E.1.
