It seems like forever that Hawaii has been trying to prevent exporting our natural resources to much of the world for somebody’s profit. The classic example is our reef fish.

The Cleaner Wrasse will invite fish to their “cleaning station” by performing a calming up and down movement of their tails

For well over a decade we observe government hearings which seem to conclude to keep the fish here on the reef and not harvested by for profit business for export. Then we see it has not been accomplished. So On Tuesday 2/10 at 100 PM . bill to enact a statewide ban on commercial aquarium collecting for the pet trade will be heard.  Submit testimony through the Hawaii legislature’s page for SB2996 by Monday, February 9 at 1:00 PM
