In spite of our offering testimony a hail dozen times at the County Planning Commission meetings this year, in conjunction with South Maui Citizens for Responsible Growth, and cooperative mutual support with the majority of volunteer Commissioners, after this Tuesday;s MCPC meeting, finally attended by DOT Highways Division Deputy Director Ed Sniffen, no sidewalks at the Ohukai intersection at the Pi’ilani Hgwy at any on the 4 corners.

So the Kihei Charter High School students ( and everyone else, young & old, neighbors or workers who use this only street access to reach the school )while walking, are left to share the road with motor vehicles, which HDOT feels is safe.
