The stormwater remained within the stream gulch

For most of this century, when we had heavy rain, Kulanihako’i Stream overflowed onto Kaonoulu Street, usually closing this road and sometimes the intersection with SKR as well. County Public Work crews would be on the seen to clear the mud, muck and brown water. Sometimes the Fire Dept was called to rescue some guys trapped by the area flooding.

Roadway remained clear & dry except for puddle in the South side bike path.

No water by the timeshare side of Kaonoulu Street after the storm last night.

Granted we are unclear how much stormwater flowed down the mountain in this storm last night, which can have a major effect, so we cannot say thus will be the result in the next storm. But good news for today.
