We have lost track of how long this issue has dragged on, but it seems most of this century. Seems like decades ago Dana Hall and Uncle Les got the agreement on this state-owned land near the popular Keawakapū beach which entities could pay to use via lease for various reasons, much of it for parking, but it also seems it was never approved by any County Administration,  so it remained in limbo. Today changes are taking place. The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) and the County Administration are proceeding to clear some of the greenery for more resident parking to access this beach. This will enlarge the gravel parking area near the Mana Kai along the North side of Keawakapū beach by the beginning of 2023. The blessing on the land before the clearing was done this morning.
