No DEC. meeting but back at Kaunoa in January for Associations

11/22/16. Last evening reps for about six community associations gathered at the senior center to meet and greet the three newly elect Council members at the Alliance of Maui Community Associations (Alliance)

  • Of course KCA had these successful candidates in our October 18 candidate forum leading up to the November 8 election, but this was our first official contact with them since that eventful evening. As we had already asked them several questions before the election, and Kihei’s Kelly King had double exposure at both our forums, we already were very familiar with their positions. Additionally we have also observed Alika Atay and Yuki Lei Sugimura at numerous other pre election forums across the island as reported on this website.
  • . The room filled with about 20 guys (3 from KCA) to ask the 2017 Members a number of questions and/or present area concerns on a wide variety of topics, some region specific and others island and County wide.
        • We wish to express our mahalo to Dick Mayor who has championed this confederation for the past several years. He has run the vast majority of monthly meeting, arranged agendas, invited guests and countless other tasks associated with the unification of numerous Island Community Associations

This coalition will regroup in January, 2017, on a Monday, but date TBA.
