6/27/18 #kihei UPDATE. We just report the information we are offered, which said live coverage on Akaku. We looked for it on all three channels, 53,54,55, but no telecast. It is supposed to be shown on CH 54 at some future time
There are other KCA’s on Maui outside South Maui
6/17/18 # kihei We think it is reasonable to say when KCA is mentioned most guys on Maui think of us, since we are the most active and diverse community association. We have been advised at County Council that we participate more than all other community associations combined. But we sure are not the only KCA, and here we are talking about our mauka moku partner, Kula Community Association.
We commend them for having a huge candidate forum on Wednesday evening, June 27, commencing at 5:30 PM, which you can enjoy from the comfort of home, as it is to be telecast live on Akaku, Maui Community Media, so available on your television or computer.
Of course you can also attend in person. We expect it will be held at the Kula Community Center, but check before traveling to be sure. They plan to have SEVEN panels to cover four council, mayor and two state contests (neither of the two we are having on July 17.)State Senate District 7 and House Distract 12.
Numerous KCA Directors are participating as moderators, and we as fellow volunteers wholeheartedly support and commend them for this action. We remind you that you need to vote in all nine Council contests. Regardless of where they live, and where you live, our community needs a majority of quality pono active members who follow the charter and truly represent the entire county. So take advantage of this opportunity to insure you will be voting to the best candidate in these four Council races in the primary, so the best pair in each moves onto the general (NOV 6) to join the other five pairs already set.
