At the Maui Planning Commission meeting this morning, Mr. Andre Hurst of Regency Namakua offered that in his communication with the current owner, Ohana Pacific Health, due to a severe shortage of qualified potential employees, they remain unable to open this facility. There seems to be no estimation on when this matter would be rectified . The facility has been complete for years, but remains vacant.

That’s absolutely not true. There are plenty of qualified people to work there. There is some other reason. I’ve called and asked them and they say they don’t know when or if it will ever open. Something is awry!
Mahalo. We too have been concerned for years. Thus we participated in the Maui Planning Commission to try to expand the conversation by testifying, even though the specific topic was about the vacant lot next to this facility. May we ask with whom you spoke?
