5/19/20 UPDATE  The deadline to submit input on transit in Kihei has been extended until May 31 2020.  The Online Open House can be accessed via the Department of Public Works website: https://www.mauicounty.gov/124/Public-Works.

4/8/20  UPDATE  As you see below in our last update about one month ago, the public meeting had to be cancelled with a plan to release the study online asap- yup today is the day!  So follow this link 

https://www.mauicounty.gov/124/Public-Works   to participate by viewing the study & submit input on individual projects and the plan as a whole BEFORE THE END OF THIS MONTH.

While the deadline might be extended, why chance ’em? If you are home now, maybe a good opportunity. Check it out.

3/5/20  MEETING FOR THURSDAY 3/12/20 HAS BEEN CANCELED!!

  Given current events and concerns about public gatherings, they decided this morning to cancel the March 12 public information meeting in Kihei. 

However, plan is to release the Draft Plan through the project website.  It’s planned to be structured as an online open house with interactive maps and plenty of opportunity to provide feedback on specific projects and the plan as a whole.  Stay tuned>

We have been advised that about 1950, before the Kihei Community Association existed, the regional community planted the seed for the formation of the Association. One of the concerns was ROADS.

Some things change, but others remain, but on a different scale.

We have been reporting on the Kihei Sub-Area Transportation Study since 2017, as KCA was one of the Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) members from its inception to the final committee meeting, which was held last month.
