A legend among tree people of the state, Ernie Renzents will be celebrated for a life well-lived on Sunday, July 16 from 3 to 6 pm at UH Maui Campus. Ernie spent over 20 years teaching arborculture at UH Maui College and served as consulting arborist for Maui County, writing the first Maui County Planting Plan in 1991, a 176 page guide to caring for street and park trees and identifying exceptional trees in the county. Share stories and good times with his family and friends. Meet in Ernie’s shaded parking lot parallel to Ka’ahumanu Ave.
