The KCA expresses out thanks to Council Member Don Couch for a conversation this morning (3/18/13) concerning KCA priorties for the upcoming 2014 FY budget. Several directors advised our major concerns formulated mostly around making South Maui more pedestrian and bicycle friendly. Specifics went to the North South Collector Road corridor and what can be achieved there with funding the FY 2014 Budget, as County Council expects to begin the deliberation process at beginning of April. In addition, proposed traffic study of South Kihei Road upgrade, next phase of our Regional/Community Park, Street Tree Plan were also topics of concern. We encourage everyone to contact your representative to express your concerns in the upcoming budget process at any time. The County Council Budget and Finance Committee will hold the South Maui Public haring at the Community Center on evening April 1, 2013
