On Tuesday morning we saw this survey team moving northbound on South Kihei Road at first fronting the Maui Lu, and later at the intersection with Ohukai, where we inquired about the purpose of their work. A friendly gentleman advised they were using the latest digital equipment for a “flooding” survey around the entire island.

We were unable to obtain further information as the crew was moving ahead.
