Are you interested in learning more about the proposed water conservation rules? Join the County of Maui Department of Water Supply (DWS) in person or online this April. The DWS will discuss the bill they are proposing to potentially help Maui conserve more water in every applicable sector.
All four meetings are 6 to 8 p.m., and locations are as follows:
- Upcountry in-person meeting: April 8, 2025, at Mayor Hannibal Tavares Community Center.
- South Maui in-person-meeting: April 9, 2025, at Kīhei Community Center.
- West Maui in-person meeting: April 15, 2025, at Lahaina Civic Center Social Hall.
- Online meeting: April 16, 2025; email water.resources@mauicounty.gov for meeting link.
If Maui County Council approves the proposed DWS bill, it would “increase water conservation in all sectors, including irrigation practices, planting and landscaping, commercial applications, water waste and new development.”
