Almost three years ago we posted a report of a presentation offered at the MOC we titled, “A hero in our midst.” That hero is Ed Lyman. Do you know him or know what he does? Just last week right off our coast he was “doing it,” disentangling a Humpback Whale from a mass of deadly debris.

Thursday morning, here he was in the flesh taping an interview sitting on the edge of the fishpond at Kalepolepo, explaining what that entails and showing the mysterious mass that had a strangle hold on the whale.
