8th Annual Malama the Trees at UH Maui College

10/30/18 #kihei

Our Association has a long history of advocating for trees in our area, whether it is preserving and supporting existing trees, or having new trees planted along roadways and in our county parks. We have joined community efforts to stop unreasonable plans to remove trees for completely unrelated issues and claims. These actions were justified when years later, the trees remained, still offering all of their benefits, and the claimed detriments never occurred.

However, our overall focus is very wide and is geographically fixed. So we look to environmental partners who have a laser focus on supporting the trees in all regions of Maui, and that is “Maui Green and Beautiful.”

So while this event is not ours, we offer our support to them and encourage participating on Saturday from 8:45 AM to 12:30 PM.
