8/13/15 Yesterday morning two of your directors joined with two from Maalaea Community Association and two from Maui Tomorrow to express our views to Councilman Bob Carroll, chair of the Land Use Committee (LUC), to inform him of our comments for the Draft Environmental Assessment (DEA) for the Maalaea Plantation Project, the latest attempt by Spenser to build a residential project on this land they own at Maalaea, mauka of the Honoapiilani Hwy.

While our DEA comments were properly directed to the Administration’s new

Housing and Human Concerns Department Director and the developer, we chose to also send them to the Mayor and all nine Council Members, including member Carroll .However we felt in consideration of his chairmanship on the Council’s LUC, it was prudent to meet with him directly.
