4/4/19 #kihei    Almost two years ago the Kihei Community Association took a walk along South Kihei Road (SKR) with then-Maui Public Works Director David Goode for a physical representation of our sidewalks plan which we had created several months before. It exposed numerous challenges. Public Hearing at the MACC, but No DOE 4/4/19 #kihei The Land Use Commission hearing on Wednesday, April 3rd was once again a review of the condition imposed on the State Department of Education (DOE) by the LUC to have a safe off-grade crossing for walkers and bicyclists. 3/26/19 #kihei Last evening, several representatives from the community associations of Maalaea, Kula, Wailuku, Waihe’e, Makawao, Pukalani, and Ha’iku joined with  FIVE (count ’em) Directors from the Kihei Community Association to meet with the two new County Administration Directors, Managing Director Sandy Baz and Parks Director Karla Peters. The first quarter of the two-hour meeting, which commenced as usual at 6:00 PM, was devoted to the association representatives opining on some of their specific community challenges.
